Bright aqua blues, warm sand and bright skies make this book feel like you’ve been teleported to the coast. This wonderfully written book with an important message, challenged me to create illustrations that were comprehendible and coherent with the message but also different to one another, being that most of the story surrounds litter and cleaning the beach.
By creating more simplistic backgrounds, the litter was able to stand out better against the backdrop of the warm beach sand that Nita and her father trodded along.
