I desired for the characters in this book to engage with one another, but also with the tasks at hand, and my goal was orientated towards making gardening and growing fruit and vegetables a fun and engaging activity, whereby memories can be made but to also demonstrate how uncomplicated it can be for prospective beginner gardeners to pick up their shovel and spade and plant something for the future.
