I believe that this book, and the illustrations which I created for it, teaches children to notice things in nature, and not merely notice things in their surroundings, but to also have a picture of and understand their environment and the flora, fauna and insects therein, in order to be able to take these newfound facts and images with them when on their next hike or walk through nature.
